Congratulations to Lieutenant Patrick Plourde for your retirement from the Houston Police Department after 26 years of outstanding service!
Lieutenant Patrick Plourde has been an integral part of the Mental Health Division for 13 years. Originally in 2007, he joined the Mental Health Unit as a Crisis Intervention Response Team sergeant where he worked as a supervisor until the Mental Health Unit became a division in 2013. Shortly after, he promoted to lieutenant and assisted in the operations of the Mental Health Division.
The Houston Police Department (HPD) plays an indispensable role in maintaining law and order in our city, providing unparalleled levels of service to our community. Each day, area residents benefit from the perseverance of peace officers like Lieutenant Patrick Plourde who has safeguarded life and property and risked his life to guard and protect us. Houstonians deeply appreciate and respect the dedication, valor and service of HPD.
As a distinguished law enforcement officer, Lieutenant Patrick Plourde has greatly improved the effectiveness of HPD. As an accomplished and dedicated officer, he has provided valuable expertise and skills through many years of experience. He has dutifully served the department, our city and its residents since April 11, 1994.
After more than 26 years of service in the proud tradition of the Houston Police Department, Lieutenant Patrick Plourde has chosen to begin his well-earned retirement on October 2, 2020. In recognition and appreciation of his dedication and loyal service, the City of Houston congratulates and commends Lieutenant Patrick Plourde on this milestone occasion and extends best wishes for a long and happy retirement.
